Requirements
Must hold a valid Oklahoma Elementary Principals certificate at the time application is filed.
DescriptionJob responsibilities:
- Responsible for decisive leadership in the improvement of the total educational program within the school.
- Responsible for recommendations for hiring, assigning, evaluating and for recommendations for dismissing staff.
- Implements board of education policies and administrative regulations that provide educational conditions under which child and teacher may work to their best advantage.
- Responsible for the school's total needs in planning the budget and obtaining necessary equipment and supplies within the funds allocated.
- Responsible for supervising the maintenance of building, grounds, and equipment.
- Responsible for interpreting the school's program to the community and enlists the participation of the community in school activities.
- Develops innovative ideas and concepts regarding professional growth of staff; devises cooperative, realistic plans and programs to insure continuous student success, growth and development.
