Summary/objective

Works as a member of the Workforce & Economic Development (WED) team to develop, coordinate and evaluate short-term courses. Serves as the evening supervisor for Great Plains Technology Center-Lawton campus. Assist with supervision of courses, adjunct instructors, operational requirements, and other related workforce training.

Essential functions

* Advise Director on all matters that require their attention

* Assist with campus safety and security

* Identify, recommend, develop, implement, and evaluate short-term courses for the Lawton campus

* Coordinate and schedule short-term course offerings on the Lawton campus

* Recruit, interview, and select adjunct instructors for short-term training

* Provide initial orientation and continuous updates to all adjunct instructors on school policy, procedures, and expectations

* Coach instructors regarding instructor resources available to them and provide support to ensure instruction reflects professionalism, appropriate teaching strategies, and high-quality curriculum

* Evaluate department instructors and courses using established procedures

* Assist with office operations, purchase requisitions, class start-up and wrap-up, course material production, packets, grades, and other support activities as needed

* Coordinate with administration and full-time instructors regarding classroom, tool, and equipment use

* Assure connection to internal and external customers through attendance at district, state, and national sponsored meetings, events, and training

* Maintain professional competencies through participation in professional development and other activities

* Assist instructors with instructional A/V equipment and reproduction of instructional material as needed

Competencies

Proficiency in Instructional Technologies and Systems:
Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of instructional technologies, including digital tools and platforms that enhance teaching and learning. Skilled in the use of computer software such as Microsoft Office and adept at navigating Student Information Systems (SIS) for data tracking, analysis, and reporting.

Strategic Curriculum Development:
Ensures curricula remain relevant by integrating emerging technologies, hands-on learning experiences, and competency-based education. Advocates for continuous program improvement to support student outcomes.

Instructional Leadership:
Cultivates a high-performing educational environment by fostering professional growth among faculty, encouraging instructional best practices, and promoting the integration of advanced teaching methodologies. Leads initiatives to enhance student engagement through technology, experiential learning, and data-driven decision-making. Supports a culture of collaboration and lifelong learning among educators.

Regulatory & Resource Stewardship:
Navigates accreditation, compliance, and funding landscapes to ensure program sustainability and institutional accountability. Ensures adherence to state and federal and other regulations while positioning the institution for long-term success.

Adaptive Problem-Solving & Change Management:
Ability to work through challenges, adapting to shifting priorities and requirements. Strength in implementing change initiatives that modernize programs and meet changing demands. Skill in resolving conflicts and making tough decisions that balance multiple stakeholder needs.
