Job Purpose:
Create and revise detailed drawings for construction projects based on initial concepts, sketches, specifications, and other data using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
- Develop and prepare engineering drawings, plans, diagrams, and layouts from sketches, field notes, and verbal instructions.
- Utilize CAD software to create 2D and 3D models and drawings for a variety of projects.
- Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes and as-built conditions.
- Ensure drawings adhere to established company and industry standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and other project stakeholders to understand design requirements and incorporate feedback.
- Maintain organized project files and drawing revisions.
- Perform quality control checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Plot and print drawings as required.
- Stay current with the latest CAD software and technologies.
- May assist with other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Required EducationAssociate's degree in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) or a related field.
Required Experience- Minimum of 2 years of experience in CAD drafting, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
- Proven experience using AutoCAD or other relevant CAD software.
- Experience with creating and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Experience working with engineering and construction teams.
Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software.
- Strong understanding of drafting principles, techniques, and standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ability to create accurate and detailed technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure is a plus.
