Title:
CAD Tech
Job Purpose:
Create and revise detailed drawings for construction projects based on initial concepts, sketches, specifications, and other data using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and prepare engineering drawings, plans, diagrams, and layouts from sketches, field notes, and verbal instructions.
Utilize CAD software to create 2D and 3D models and drawings for a variety of projects.
Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes and as-built conditions.
Ensure drawings adhere to established company and industry standards and specifications.
Collaborate with engineers and other project stakeholders to understand design requirements and incorporate feedback.
Maintain organized project files and drawing revisions.
Perform quality control checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Plot and print drawings as required.
Stay current with the latest CAD software and technologies.
May assist with other tasks as assigned.
Required
Education:
Associate's degree in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) or a related field.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in CAD drafting, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
Proven experience using AutoCAD or other relevant CAD software.
Experience with creating and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
Experience working with engineering and construction teams.
Required
Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software.
Strong understanding of drafting principles, techniques, and standards.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Ability to create accurate and detailed technical drawings.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure is a plus.
