Responsibilities

This position is responsible for observing, monitoring, and protecting all assets of the company, guests, vendors, and team members. All positions within 7 CLANS CASINOS are responsible for the overall maintaining of excellent guest services, efficient productivity, and providing an orderly, safe, and exciting workplace.

Key duties include:

  • Ensure the security and safety of guests, team members, vendors, and all company assets.
  • Patrol all sections of property to identify safety hazards and security breaches and report to lead or supervisor.
  • Work effectively with all departments to assure efficient security support.
  • Remain alert to any unusual or questionable activity by casino team members, vendors, or gaming guests.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with other company staff, vendors, and contractors.
  • Aid law enforcement authorities as needed under the direction of management.
  • Assist in transporting and escorting assets and guests during assigned shifts.
  • Document and report all applicable incidents in accordance with company policy, providing immediate, accurate, detailed descriptions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Department Management.
Regulatory Compliance

Monitors activities to ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and controls of the organization, NIGC, and OMGC. Ensures staff understand and comply with regulatory requirements, enforcing standards through discipline when necessary. Performs duties in accordance with company handbook, tribal objectives, and applicable laws.

Qualifications

Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Preference for individuals at least 21 years of age.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma (or equivalent). One to two years of security experience preferred; casino experience preferred. An equivalent combination of customer service and communications experience may be required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Punctual and dependable in reporting to work as scheduled and completing assigned tasks.
  • Knowledge and skills in hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of staff, communications, decision making, problem solving, complaint resolution, resource allocation.
  • Read, write, and speak English. Read professional publications, memos, emails, logs, newsletters, documents.
  • Perform intermediate mathematical computations, including probability and statistics.
  • Protect company information by keeping data confidential.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions and perform assigned tasks under supervision.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with management and team members.
  • Present facts and recommendations orally and in writing; prepare reports and correspondence as required.
  • Use MS Office at basic to intermediate level.
  • Exercise sound judgment and make consistent decisions aligned with job duties.
  • Willing and able to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Employment Authorization

Must be able to provide required work authorization documents, pass a drug test, and maintain a gaming license from the Otoe Missouria Gaming Commission.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to talk, listen, stand, walk, sit, use hands. Occasionally required to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl. Must lift at least 50 lbs. and push, pull, drag up to 150 lbs. Requires vision abilities.

Work Environment

Occasional exposure to fumes, smoke, moderate to loud noise, heat and cold. May encounter risks when dealing with irate or difficult people. Reasonable accommodations may be made.

Expected to maintain professional appearance and conduct, courteous and cooperative, with an optimistic, patient, and tolerant attitude.
