Role: Responsible for oversight of the Real Estate Servicing Department to ensure the integrity of True Sky Credit Union's Real Estate portfolio and loans sold to the secondary market.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Ensure the Real Estate Servicing Department is adequately staffed, and that staff are informed of their expected job duties, trained on the duties completely, and given the appropriate tools to accomplish their tasks in an accurate and timely manner. (25%)
  • Monitor State and Federal regulations/requirements as they pertain to servicing of real estate loans as well as True Sky Credit Union's policy and procedures for compliance. (20%)
  • Assist staff in answering questions and concerns and provide information as needed to confirm quality service and support is given to all parties in conjunction with real estate loans. (20%)
  • Provide informed, professional, and accurate service and support to all members, associates as necessary. (20%)
  • Accountable for completion of daily, monthly and yearly reports of mortgage loan data to members and credit union management. (10%)
  • Responsible for daily and monthly remittance and other reporting to secondary market investor(s) in accordance with their guidelines. (5%)
Performance Measurements
  • Supervise staff to ensure processes/procedures are followed and provide guidance as needed.
  • Maintain a highly motivated, well-trained staff by coaching and counseling employees ensuring their performance reviews are completed in a timely manner.
  • Stay informed of compliance requirements and proactively seek opportunities for training to be fully informed and have processes in place to meet requirements.
  • Direct staff in timely loan payment processing and payment administration; verification of current & appropriate home insurance, verification of paid real estate taxes, and annual IRS 1098 reporting.
  • Oversee the computation of yearly adjustments for all adjustable rate mortgages, payment adjustments, and disclosures to members in compliance with Federal Regulations and internal guidelines.
  • Supervise the maintenance and annual analysis of escrow accounts ensuring proper collection and remittance of tax, insurance, and other escrow items for each account.
  • Contribute to the effort to attain True Sky Credit Union's company-wide goals and the strategic plan annually.
  • Direct staff in confirming the integrity of each Real Estate loan file by meeting audit procedures through post-close audits, verifying accuracy of loan documentation and completion of all underwriting requirements.
  • Stay current and comply with all federal and state regulations including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets & Controls (OFAC) and all credit union policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge and Skills
    • Experience: Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.
    • Education: A two-year college degree, or completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or job‑specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
