The Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management is a dynamic state agency dedicated to preparing for, responding to, recovering from, and mitigating emergencies and disasters across the State of Oklahoma. The agency works closely with local, tribal, state, federal, nonprofit, and private-sector partners to strengthen public safety and community resilience.

Within the agency, the Oklahoma 911 Management Authority supports the coordination, development, and continuous improvement of emergency 911 services across the state. The Authority works with Public Safety Answering Points, local and tribal governments, public-safety agencies, service providers, technology partners, and other stakeholders to promote reliable, effective, and sustainable access to emergency communications.

The Authority's work includes supporting Next Generation 911 implementation, administering statewide programs and funding, promoting compliance with applicable requirements and technical standards, coordinating training and technical assistance, and strengthening the systems and data that help connect callers with the appropriate emergency services.

When someone calls 911, the systems, data, funding, and coordination supporting that call must work accurately and reliably. Employees of the 911 Management Authority contribute to a statewide public-safety mission that affects every community in Oklahoma.

Depending on the position, your work may support Public Safety Answering Points, emergency communications technology, geographic call-routing data, grant and fee administration, regulatory compliance, training, stakeholder coordination, program development, or the continued transition to Next Generation 911.

We are seeking a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Projects Coordinator to serve within the Oklahoma 911 Management Authority. This position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
