Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day shift — start times flexible based on the unit (exact start/end times vary by unit)

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate patients' functional status and develop individualized OT plans of care
  • Implement evidence-based medical-surgical and acute care interventions to restore function
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize discharge planning
  • Provide patient and family education to support safe transitions and return-to-home strategies
  • Document progress and outcomes accurately and timely in the patient record
  • Participate in unit-specific orientation and adhere to facility policies (including scrub color and call expectations)
Qualifications
  • Current NBCOT certification required
  • BLS (AHA) certification required
  • Active Oklahoma state OT license (must be active at time of submission)
  • 2 years acute care and medical-surgical occupational therapy experience required (posting notes they will accept new grads, but 2 years acute/MS experience is listed as required)
  • Current, relevant work history and skills checklist (current to 1 year) and 2 supervisory reference forms within the last two years
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong knowledge of acute care and medical-surgical occupational therapy practice
  • Skilled in ADL training, functional mobility, and safe discharge planning
  • Familiarity with NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) is a plus
  • Excellent clinical documentation and patient assessment skills
  • Effective interdisciplinary communication and teamwork
