Seize the opportunity to deliver standout Med Surg care as a Travel Registered Nurse in Lawton, Oklahoma, starting 02/26/2026. This contract places you at the heart of acute medicine, where every shift is a chance to stabilize complex cases, elevate patient experience, and mentor teammates. As you move through fast-paced med-surg floors, your expertise in patient assessments, IV therapy, pain management, wound care, and post-operative care will shine.

Beyond the unit, you’ll discover the natural and cultural beauty of Oklahoma—crystal-clear skies, the rugged grandeur of the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, serene lakes, and charming towns that invite exploration after shifts. Lawton’s community vibe blends small-town warmth with modern healthcare, offering a supportive environment where your work makes a tangible difference and your professional impact grows.

Location benefits in Lawton are complemented by the flexibility to work across various locations nationwide. You’ll enjoy the chance to experience different hospital cultures, patient populations, and clinical protocols while maintaining a consistent staffing rhythm. Oklahoma itself offers a dynamic backdrop—rich western heritage, outdoor recreation, and community events—making it a rewarding place to balance high-energy clinical work with restful downtime. If your aim is broader scope, our program facilitates assignments that move you across the U.S., expanding your professional network and sharpening your med-surg expertise through diverse case mixes and collaborative care models.

On the Med Surg floor, you’ll manage a diverse caseload with autonomy and teamwork. Expect to perform thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs and telemetry as needed, administer medications and IV therapies, interpret labs, and participate in timely clinical decision-making. You’ll collaborate closely with physicians, pharmacists, and case managers to coordinate care, implement evidence-based wound and infection control practices, and support discharge planning and patient education.

This role offers meaningful opportunities for professional growth within med-surg—advancing your skills in acute stabilization, complex care coordination, and compassionate patient communication. The contract offers weekly pay of $1,572 to $1,684 with guaranteed hours of 36 per week, and a duration measured in weeks to align with your preferred balance of challenge and rest. You’ll have access to a competitive benefits package that includes a bonus program, housing assistance, and extension opportunities designed to align with your long-term career goals.

In addition, you’ll receive comprehensive support from a dedicated travel team offering 24/7 assistance—so clinical leadership, scheduling, and logistical needs are managed around the clock, keeping you focused on patient care and personal well-being.

This opportunity also emphasizes the value of your professional growth. Expect mentorship from experienced med-surg nurses and access to ongoing education that supports skill enhancement, such as advanced assessment techniques, telemetry interpretation, complex discharge planning, and patient education strategies. Whether you’re pursuing leadership pathways in nursing or expanding specialty competencies, you’ll find clear opportunities to elevate your practice while contributing to a collaborative, patient-centered care environment.

The role not only sharpens clinical acumen but also broadens your horizon through exposure to diverse hospital settings and multidisciplinary teamwork, all within a supportive framework that recognizes your dedication and expertise.

Company values center on empowering our staff, cultivating a culture of learning, and providing supportive, growth-oriented experiences. We’re committed to helping you build a sustainable career in travel nursing by offering pathways to extended assignments, permanent placements, and enhanced clinical responsibilities as you demonstrate impact. Expect transparent communication, a warm team atmosphere, and leadership that champions your professional development while prioritizing your well-being and work-life…
