Job DescriptionPositions in this job family are assigned responsibilities for providing direct or indirect professional nursing services in a variety of settings. This includes providing nursing assessments, planning, interventions, evaluations, health‑related education, case management, and execution of the medical regime including administering medications and treatments prescribed by any person authorized to prescribe by state law.
Responsibilities- Assess health status of individuals, families, and communities; develop plans and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
- Evaluate and determine health resources necessary to meet individual, family and community health needs.
- Deliver professional nursing care in an assigned unit, clinic, home, or other setting.
- Educate individuals, families, communities, and members of the health care team about principles of disease prevention and health promotion.
- Provide supervision to other professional or paraprofessional personnel; collaborate with other professionals in the management of health care.
- Delegate tasks safely and in accordance with educational preparation and the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
- Assure quality health care through use of record review, peer review, direct observation, and assessment of outcomes.
- Perform specialized nursing functions as educationally prepared.
Education and Experience:
Possession of a valid Oklahoma license as a registered nurse or a Registered Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact, and two years of professional nursing experience in an appropriate field.
Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices and techniques; of health promotion and disease prevention; of nursing management of available health care resources; of nutrition and diet therapy; of the functions of various clinical departments; of federal and state rules and regulations concerning health services; of accreditation, certification and licensure standards; of preventive health practices; of nursing standards; and of nursing policies and procedures.
Abilities include developing, organizing, and implementing nursing care plans; providing education and training; assessing condition and needs of patients; taking appropriate interventions; counseling and teaching patients and families; directing non‑licensed personnel; and ensuring quality care.
- Salary: RN III $83,200.00 ($40.00 hourly) plus overtime at time and a half.
- Shift differential: $2.88 per hour for evening and night shifts.

Pathfinder 401(k) with Standard (4.5% earned, 6% company), High (7% earned, 7% company), and Customized plans; vesting 20% annually up to 100% at year 5. - Longevity Bonus:
Starts after 2 years with increasing payments every 2 years, ranging from $250.00 to $2,000.00 and additional $200 per 2 years beyond 20 years. - Paid Time Off: 1‑5 years – 15 days; 5‑10 years – 18 days; 10‑20 years – 20 days; 20+ years – 25 days. Accrual rates described in hours biweekly.
- Sick leave: 15 days per year.
- Holiday leave: 11 holidays per year.
- Administrative Weather Leave: up to 8 hours per day or 32 hours total when working during inclement weather.
- Military leave with pay: up to 30 days (240 hours) per fiscal year with required military orders.
