Medical Surgical Nurse

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a 14-bed Medical-Surgical unit, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and safety. Deliver direct patient care within established protocols and collaborate with healthcare team members.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health status and vital signs regularly to identify any changes or concerns.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
• Educate patients and families about managing their health conditions and post-discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate optimal patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Current valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Proven experience in medical-surgical nursing, preferably in a similar setting.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, 12-hour shift environment from 7A-7P.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
