Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Operating Room Registered Nurse

Graduate-level registered nurse with specialized experience in operating room settings providing perioperative patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. Responsible for ensuring patient safety, education, and optimal outcomes throughout surgical processes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer preoperative assessments and preparations to patients scheduled for surgery.
• Monitor patient vital signs and condition continuously during procedures to ensure stability.
• Assist surgical team by handling instruments and maintaining sterile field standards.
• Provide patient education regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and post-surgical care.
• Document all patient interactions, observations, and interventions accurately in medical records.
• Follow established protocols for patient safety, infection control, and emergency response.

Qualifications:

• Current permanent state licensure as a registered nurse.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent OR RN experience.
• Experience in general, orthopedic, neuro, and CVOR surgeries required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications from recognized authorities (AHA) required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
