Operating Room Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule:

6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday with on-call requirements.

Job Description:

The Operating Room Nurse is responsible for providing care to patients throughout the surgical process. This role involves ensuring patients are properly prepared for surgery and assisting in their recovery by providing information on the outcomes or potential outcomes of medical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and management of the operating room environment.
• Provide care and support to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Communicate effectively with surgical team members to ensure a smooth surgical process.
• Monitor patients' conditions and provide updates to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and their families regarding surgical procedures and expected outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 2 years of RN experience in the operating room is required.
• CVOR experience is preferred.
• Current Oklahoma RN license is required.
• Certifications relevant to nursing practice in the operating room are required, but applicants without them may still be considered.
