Hvac Apprentice

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Etc.

Must hold an active Mechanical Apprentice Registration. Must possess a current Oklahoma driver's license without restrictions. Must have knowledge of duct system installation and repair of all HVAC and Refrigeration Equipment, and be able to read and understand drawings and blueprints. Must be able to work alongside men in a safe manner with quality control and under a production schedule.

Education: High School Transcript/GED.

Skills:

Job skills are required to perform tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.

Physical Requirements: Exposure to the following situations may range from remote to frequent based on circumstances and factors that may not be predictable.

Experience:

• Assists in installation, replacement and repair of all refrigeration systems in the school district.
• Assists in changing compressors, repairing leaks in coils and cleaning filters.
• Assists repairs and services general maintenance tools.
• Assists in operating and maintaining Freon recovery and reclaiming machines.
• Other duties as assigned.
