Field technician

Cable One (Sparklight) is seeking a Field Technician to install, maintain, and repair broadband, TV, and phone services for residential and business customers. Working in Field Operations & Site Management, you'll perform site surveys, configure equipment, troubleshoot network and wiring issues, and ensure reliable connectivity. You'll interact directly with customers, provide education on services, and uphold safety and quality standards. Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair internet, TV, and phone services at customer locations
• Perform site surveys, equipment upgrades, and routine maintenance on cable and network equipment
• Test signal strength, configure modems/routers, and ensure optimal service performance
• Educate customers on equipment use, features, and basic self-help troubleshooting
• Document work orders, maintain accurate service records, and update tickets in company systems
• Adhere to safety standards, traffic/work-at-height protocols, and company quality guidelines
• Collaborate with dispatch, network operations, and field operations teams to resolve complex issues
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in clean, safe, and operable condition
