Lead Technician

Cable One, operating as Sparklight, is seeking a Lead Technician for our Telecommunications Technical & Maintenance team. In this role, you'll lead field technicians installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining high-speed internet, cable TV, and phone services for residential and business customers. You'll handle complex service issues, perform advanced diagnostics, and ensure network reliability. You will mentor junior technicians, model safe work practices, and uphold Sparklight's collaborative culture and commitment to superior customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead field technicians in installing, configuring, and repairing broadband, video, and phone services
• Troubleshoot complex network and signal issues in residential and business environments
• Perform advanced diagnostics using meters and test equipment; ensure signal quality and uptime
• Train, mentor, and coach junior technicians on best practices and safety standards
• Coordinate daily work assignments, prioritize tickets, and ensure timely completion
• Collaborate with Network Engineering and Operations to resolve escalated service issues
• Maintain accurate documentation of installs, repairs, and network configurations
• Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and Sparklight quality standards
• Engage customers on-site, explain work performed, and ensure satisfaction
