Overview
This is a minimum hours contract. The successful applicant will be required to travel to various work sites in the Lincolnshire region as part of the role.
Full UK Manual Driving Licence holders only. Applicants holding an automatic driving licence will not be considered.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Community Payback Supervisor directly supervises groups of offenders serving community sentences.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervising and motivating small teams to complete unpaid work hours, such as clearing overgrowth, planting trees, maintaining community facilities, litter picking and graffiti removal.
- Transporting offenders and equipment using service vehicles where necessary.
- Ensuring all work site supervision tasks are carried out safely and to the best of the offenders’ ability.
- Demonstrating good practice and fostering a supportive environment for service users.
The role requires the following:
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
- Right to work in the UK. You must comply with current immigration rules, including the Skilled Worker visa conditions from 22 July 2025.
- Ability to travel to different locations and work up to 7 hours per day, including weekends and evenings where required.
You must have the right to work in the UK and abide by Civil Service nationality rules. For full details, the following categories qualify:
- UK nationals
- Nationals of the Republic of Ireland
- Nationals of Commonwealth countries with the right to work in the UK
- Nationals of the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein and family members with settled or pre‑settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS)
- Individuals with limited leave to remain or indefinite leave to remain who were eligible to apply for EUSS on or before 31 December 2020
- Turkish nationals and certain family members of Turkish nationals who have accrued the right to work in the Civil Service
- Pension through the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) run by the Greater Manchester Pension Fund.
- Annual leave: 25 days on appointment, increasing to 30 days after five years of service. Pro‑rata leave for part‑time posts.
- Maternity, paternity and adoption leave.
- Paid holidays and public holidays.
