Definition:
Provides coaching to Family Preservation Services/North Care employees to ensure fidelity to the Safe Care model.

Supervisor:
Position is supervised by Family Preservation Services Leadership.

Essential Job Functions Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Receives and maintains National Safe Care Coach Certification.
• Ensures Family Preservation teams/providers meet and maintain fidelity to the Safe Care curriculum and implement modules as required by national accreditation and state standards for Health, Safety, Parent-Child Interaction, Parent-Infant interaction, Managing Child Behavior and Healthy Relationship modules.
• Promotes a warm and engaging organizational culture in line with North Care values, trauma informed care, and health and wellness.
• Ensures all new employees implementing Safe Care meet criteria for certification established through National Safe Care Training and Research Center (NSTRC) within the first year of employment.
• Reviews Safe Care documentation and provides certificates to Family Preservation team members for completion of modules.
• Accompanies employees on home visits and provides coaching via modeling, feedback and consultation as required based on NSTRC coaching fidelity requirements.
• Formally meets monthly with leadership members to provide information, consultation and feedback about progress in coaching.
• Attends training and meetings required by North Care and OUHSC to include team meetings and Trainer/Coaches monthly meetings.
• Submits required monthly reports to leadership and submits observation documentation into the Safe Care portal.
• Assists with intakes, providing coverage while team members are out of office, and supporting caseloads/cases as needed.
• Attends all North Care and program specific meetings and trainings as required.
• Works a flexible 40 hours work week schedule to accommodate needs of families, providers and community partners. Utilizes the outlook calendar to include all meetings, responsibilities and appointments for the week.
• Maintains consistent work attendance and contact supervisor on timely basis for needed late arrivals or absences.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned by the Program Manager, Director and/or executive management.

Position Requirements:

• Position requires a master's degree in social work or related human services field, two years' experience in a human services position, and 1 year experience as a certified Safe Care Provider; OR a bachelor's degree in social work or related field, four years' experience in a human services position and 1 year experience as a certified Safe Care provider.
• This position provides community-based services. A community setting is defined as any non-designated North Care Office. Community-based staff may be expected to provide services in a multitude of community settings, including but not limited to, a client's home, in the community at a local venue or agency, outside in a confidential space, via telehealth or in the office. Staff who are considered community based may have limited access to onsite supervision and are expected to use critical thinking skills to ensure appropriate staffing of situations as they present.
  
  Staff who are community based are expected to travel to and from appointments and are required to have "business purposes" added to their auto insurance. Community based staff should have access to an internet hotspot to access technology while in the field. They are eligible for a phone and hotspot stipend. Community based staff are considered essential workers and may be expected to work holidays/weekends/or during closures if required by their program.
• This position requires a high degree of flexibility and efficiency. Must display proficiency in the MS Word processing software and intermediate general computer skills. Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally with English-speaking patients. Employee must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to move about facilities and community freely. Casual professional dress is required with adherence to dress code requirements.
• Due to the nature of the contract, candidates and employees must report to North Care any current or prior confirmed record of child abuse as an adult. Any such confirmed record must be reviewed by the North Care Executive Team for hiring approval or, for current employees, continued employment with North Care.
• Must have access to reliable transportation. In state travel is required. Must possess and provide verification of valid Oklahoma driver's license during employment with North Care. Must maintain and provide verification of current automobile liability insurance including uninsured motorist coverage during employment with North Care.
