Open Until Filled Part-Time: 29 Hours Weekly Weekdays 4:00pm-11:00pm for three (3) days Weekends 5:00pm-11:00pm on Saturday and Sunday

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Residential Tech is responsible for the daily supervision and support of Halfway House Clients to ensure a safe, structured and therapeutic environment. The core duties involve monitoring behavior, enforcing rules, facilitating daily routines and providing holistic (physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs) support for individuals transitioning back into the community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must be able to handle stressful situations and some emergencies. Must be familiar with House Rules, Policies and be able to enforce and report refractions to Halfway House Director. Must be able to perform assigned duties and accept responsibilities as required. Log all Client activity during occurring shift. Function as a role model to Clients in behavior, demeanor, and appearance. Monitor Client activities on the premises.

Must be able to administer breathalyzer and drug tests to Clients. Must have a valid Driver's License and be able to transport Clients to planned activities in the program van. Must be able to perform other reasonable duties assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES AND REPORTING:

Under the general supervision of the Halfway House Director, the Residential Tech will work cooperatively with the Recovery Team in meeting the overall goals and objectives of the program designed to assist Native American men and women improve their living and coping skills while maintaining their sobriety.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Employee must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Examples: packing and moving Clients' belongings to storage; carry groceries, cleaning supplies, chairs and tables from the van to the building and move furniture.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have at least two years or more of sobriety if chemically dependent.

Must protect Client anonymity and maintain Client confidentiality at all times.

Must show sound capability in working with chemically dependent individuals.

Must have a High school diploma or GED.Must have a pleasant personality, able to develop a professional rapport with men and women Clients.

Must be willing to work tribal, state, and federal holidays.

Must be able to perform other reasonable duties as assigned.

Must be willing to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and sober activities with clients.

Must have a valid Driver’s License, able to operate GSA vehicles and to be insured by the Tribe’s vehicle insurance.
