Purpose
The Front Desk Assistant provides professional reception and administrative support, serving as the first point of contact for visitors and callers while assisting with daily office operations, communications, scheduling, and other administrative needs.
Responsibilities- Greet and welcome visitors, clients, students, employees, and guests in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls and emails.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Assist with processing payments, reimbursements and other financial transactions.
- Office space management and maintenance: records management, copier maintenance, phones, office supply orders, mailboxes, etc.
- Name badges and key requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED with one year of relevant experience.
- Experience in a front desk, receptionist, customer service, or administrative support role.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact effectively with people at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
- Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of UT internal accounting systems: DEFINE, FRMS, Point Plus.
$45,000 + depending on qualifications

Retirement Plan EligibilityThe retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
