The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Inventory Management Specialist, NH-2010-03 to work at Air Force Sustainment Center on Hill AFB in Layton, Utah.

2026 Salary Range: $89,508 –$138,370 Yearly (Includes locality pay). Job Open Date: 13 Feb 26. Job Close Date: 24 Feb 26. This position may close at any time.

Eligibility

These positions are open exclusively to current 448 Supply Chain Management Wing (SCMW) employees at Hill AFB only. Applicants must submit their most recent SF50 to verify eligibility. Applications without the required SF50 and other supporting documents will be considered incomplete and will not be forwarded for consideration. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be legal working age.

Resume Requirements

Resume may NOT exceed two pages, and the font size should not be smaller than 10 pts. The two-page resume ensures the most relevant experience is reviewed and considered. Applicants with an illegible/unreadable resume or longer than two pages will not be considered.

Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a planner responsible for cradle to grave supply chain management and support to worldwide customers for an assigned complex/critical group of contract, inter-service, organic and dual repaired items and sub-components. The role involves planning, executing, and distributing assigned items, serving as project lead/manager, conducting organizational and process-related studies, and analysis to improve mission effectiveness and resource allocation.

It also includes overseeing logistics management operations to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and meeting customer needs, participating in special logistics projects and initiatives, and representing the organization with various installation and functional area organizations.

Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Obtain & maintain a Security clearance (if applicable).
  • No PCS expenses will be paid.
  • Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station approximately 5 days per year.
  • May be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours.
Recruitment Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Extensive knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.
  • Master knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.
  • Extensive knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.
  • Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.
  • Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.
