Job Summary/Basic Function: High School Dual Enrollment (HSDE) is a program that allows high school students to earn college-level credits while completing their high school credentials. Concurrent enrollment courses are taught at the high schools, with students paying $5 per credit hour. This allows students to access college-level courses at a significantly reduced rate where students can earn a credential when graduating high school.
Under the direction of the Director of High School Dual Enrollment, the Manager of Engagement is responsible for designing and implementing strategies that broaden WSU HSDE’s reach and deepen its impact within the community. This role balances high-level strategic planning with on-the-ground execution to increase engagement between WSU HSDE and students, parents, high schools, communities, and WSU academic departments.

Responsibilities

The Manager of Engagement is primarily responsible for strategic communication with all partners. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, email campaigns, social media campaigns, website development, student-centered events, and parent information sessions.

Required Qualifications

Required:

Master’s degree in education, marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years of full-time employment in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred:
One year of supervisory experience. Experience creating and managing outreach plans for a variety of stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage an array of audiences, including students, families, and educators. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Experience building collaborative partnerships with a broad range of organizations (tech colleges, K-12, community, etc.).

Physical Requirements of this position:
Light work. Exerting up to 20 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Use of arm and/or leg controls exerting forces greater than that for sedentary work.

Visual Acuity Requirements:
Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading. Required to have close visual acuity to inspect small defects, small parts at distances close to the eye.
