Title:
Tutor – Math (Davis Tutoring & Writing Center)
Tutor WSU students in Math at the Davis Learning Center as part of the Learning Support department. Tutoring is done on a drop-in basis. Availability for drop-in shifts is determined by the tutor. We require and provide training in tutoring techniques.
This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.

- Faculty recommendation or endorsement.
- Must have earned a B or better in the courses you propose to tutor.
- A strong working knowledge of the subject matter you will be tutoring.
- Good listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to tutor many different courses.
- Physical Activity:
Expressing or exchanging ideas; conveying detailed instructions; grasping; applying pressure with fingers and palm. - Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work; exerting up to 10 pounds occasionally; sitting most of the time; walking/standing only occasionally. - Visual Acuity:
Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, using a computer terminal, extensive reading. - Conditions:
None. Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions typical of office or administrative work.
