FLSAJob Summary /Basic Function
Tutor WSU Nursing students at the Davis Tutoring Center as part of the Learning Support department. Tutoring is done by individual appointments made through Starfish. Availability for appointments will be determined by the tutor. We require and provide training in tutoring techniques.
Required Qualifications- Must be a WSU student.
- Must be able to tutor on the Davis Campus.
- Must have earned a B or better in the courses you propose to tutor.
- A strong working knowledge of the subject matter you will be tutoring.
- Good listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Physical Requirements of this positionSedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or consistently to move objects, including the human body. Sitting most of the time. Walking and standing only occasionally if ever.
Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision.Not required
