Position: Engineering Intern with Security Clearance
Description
* Incorporate academic knowledge into hands-on work and willingness to learn new skills
* Communicate effectively and use logical judgments when dealing with changes and meeting program deadlines
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Power Point  
* Must have a basic understanding of work to be performed
* Interns will work 15 - 25 hours per week; summer interns will about 40 hours
* Must be willing to accept direction from, and interact professionally with supervisor and co-workers
* Must work with integrity and follow assigned tasks through to completion
* Assist with department administrative duties as necessary to learn about the work being performed, and to contribute to completion of department workload
* Familiarization with engineering specific software such as CAD desired for some positions
* Other duties as assigned Requirements Education/Training (both required and desired):
* High School diploma or equivalent required
* Current enrollment or recent graduate of an engineering program;
Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science major preferred

Experience:

* 0+ years of professional experience in the required task area Security:
* Must be a US citizen
* Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required

Physical Requirements:

* Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
* Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
* Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
* Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time
