Position Type:
Associate - W2. Duration: 12 months. Shift: 1.
A Technical Designer is needed to support the Minuteman program at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, UT. The role involves design, drafting, and configuration management tasks associated with engineering data.
Position Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain engineering drawings.
- Prepare design layouts and modify existing designs.
- Investigate and resolve moderately complex manufacturing process or engineering related issues.
- Verify accuracy of engineering data produced by others.
- Revise and maintain standard operating procedures for technical design.
- Create 3D CAD models of existing equipment.
- Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, CATIA, and NX.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other instructions.
- Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities, and data needed to define delivery configurations.
- Previous experience in design engineering.
- Effective communication and collaboration with multi‑discipline teams.
- Experience identifying required material types for parts and components.
- Knowledge of tasks performed by various engineering disciplines.
Education or experience typically acquired through an associate degree and at least one year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
