What You Will Do
Serve on a team of technical advisors to USAF 388th Fighter Wing and Ogden Air Logistics Complex supporting F-35A,B,C/F135 operations and maintenance. The FSE will support propulsion systems, tooling, material, hardware, software, and offboard system processes. The FSE will have hands‑on interaction with the engine, USAF squadron personnel, and Ogden Air Logistics Complex technicians. Ensure comprehensive reporting on support activities including aircraft and engine status, flight reports, operational data, engine configuration status and parts consumption.
Collaborate with internal P&W teams (Customer Support Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Center, logistics teams) in resolving emerging issues while maintaining flexibility to adapt to constantly changing customer priorities. Use self‑initiative and judgment to identify problems, conduct investigations to determine root cause, and coordinate solutions between P&W, the Joint Strike Fighter Program Office, USAF customers, and Lockheed Martin. You’ll also be tasked with coordinating field issues with the P&W Site Manager, Engineering, and Logistics Program Management.
Comply with Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and participating in Customer‑Oriented Results & Excellence (CORE) initiatives. Ability to travel in support of customer deployments. Domestic and international travel are possible and part of the team concept and must have the ability to rotate between first and second shift schedules as required to meet customer support and team objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field and 5+ years of experience in engine / aircraft maintenance and logistics experience; or an associate degree, or 2 years post‑high school or technical training and 9+ years of engine / aircraft maintenance and logistics experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years’ experience in engine / aircraft maintenance and logistics.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Experience with aviation maintenance and production information systems, including knowledge of gas turbine engine theory and operation.
- Experience in F‑35/F135 production, flight testing, customer support, maintenance, and/or program management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Salary range: 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD.
