Senior Systems Engineer Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Perform technical analysis related to systems design and development.
• Conduct tasks associated with the systems engineering life cycle and the DoD design review process.
• Utilize model-based systems engineering (MBSE) techniques.
• Support systems analysis, such as discrete-event simulation, using simulation techniques.
• Follow, perform, and record the results of a test plan execution.
• Exercise judgment to make recommendations on technical alternatives, component design or selection, and/or adaptation to meet assigned requirements.
• Write technical documents, including white papers and customer deliverables.
• Collaborate with leadership at all levels.
• Lead technical reviews and meetings, both internal and external.
• Perform duties under the supervision of staff and chief engineers.
• Mentor less experienced engineers.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Education/Training:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an ABET-accredited institution in a relevant engineering or science discipline (required).
• Master’s Degree preferred.

Experience:

• 5+ years of professional experience in the required task area.
• Familiarity with a range of systems engineering tools (Cameo experience preferred).
• Background in developing and/or testing aircraft and/or military components preferred.
• Experience with systems integration, structural analysis and/or Python preferred.

Security:

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required.

Physical Requirements:

• Occasionally reach with hands and arms.
• Prolonged periods of computer screen use while sitting or standing at a desk.
• Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g., eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes, etc.).
• Safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time.

The projected salary range for this position is $8,000 - $105,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation; actual salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and applicable certifications or degrees held. Offered salary may fall outside of this range.
