The Role

Come join the Layton Hills Branch Credit Team! The Credit Analyst 1 provides ongoing commercial loan portfolio support as needed by Loan Officers and the Credit Department, as well as providing basic credit analysis support related to loan review functions of the department.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing support to commercial lenders with portfolio administration requirements including:
    • Request and obtain financials, tax returns, A/R Aging reports and borrowing bases, rent rolls, etc. from bank clients in a timely manner
    • Test and clear loan covenants in bank's portfolio timely and on an ongoing basis
    • Track covenant progress via the bank's covenant management system
  • Assist in completing financial spreads for businesses and individuals for low to moderate levels complexity
  • Provide analysis functions for annual loan reviews, semi-annual reviews, and other commercial loan reviews as required
  • Assist in underwriting smaller commercial loans as well as renewals of smaller existing credits
  • Responsible for supporting lender's Adverse Action activities to ensure compliance with policy and regulations
Additional Responsibilities
  • Regular and predictable attendance in order to accomplish, among other things, in-person contact with customers, both internal and external.
  • Represent FCBU in a professional manner which includes a professional image, confidentiality, a positive "can-do" attitude, punctuality, flexibility, and adaptability in meeting bank and customer needs. Keep work area tidy and maintain customer privacy.
  • Responsible for timely completion of all required compliance and security training implemented by GBCI and FCBU.
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to: the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control
  • Adhere and support the FCBU Values & Purpose, with a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Keeps management appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems
  • Provide superior internal and external customer service: must demonstrate self-governance, courtesy and respect towards external customers as well as internal customers (all organization personnel).
  • Professionally answer phones within a timely manner, greeting all customers, learning their names, discussing reasonable solutions by having a solid understanding of bank products and services, demonstrating leadership to resolve customer issues and provide relevant assistance while being courteous and respectful.
  • Attends and participates in weekly or bi-weekly One-on-Ones, as well as meeting and trainings as required. Promote behaviors to support and track Key Performance Indicators
  • Additional duties as requested or assigned
About You Qualifications
  • One year of banking or related experience required
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience with basic finance / accounting preferred
Schedule

(Full-Time) Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
