Part-Time Bilingual Member Service and Sales Representative; Teller - Spanish

Part Time:
Monday – Friday, 8:40am – 6:15pm;
Saturdays, 8:40am – 2:15pm. A day off during the week when a Saturday is worked. Flexibility needed, 20–25 hrs/week based on branch needs.

• Provide exceptional member service by assessing member needs, advising, and assisting in transactions such as opening new accounts, servicing existing accounts, and explaining relevant products and services.
• Use a consultation approach to recognize member needs, educate on options for managing financial transactions through MACU tools, and cross‑sell products and services as needed.
• Meet sales and service goals; use lead lists to make outbound calls to existing members to provide additional consultation on MACU products and services.
• Resolve problems by clarifying complaints, determining causes, providing solutions, expediting corrections or adjustments, and following up to ensure resolution.
• Branch operations: maintain cash drawer, initiate wire transfers, cashier’s checks, and cash advances, create VISA cards, open and process IRA transactions, certificates of deposit, and redeem savings bonds, and place appropriate check holds and issue fee reversals.
• Assist fraud victims by processing fraud disputes and process transactions efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Assist in opening and closing branch procedures and maintain branch security, including vault combinations and security codes.
• Represent the credit union professionally in dress and actions, maintain a neat and clean work area, respond to emails, voicemails, missed calls, and other communication promptly.
• Actively participate in and complete product knowledge courses; travel may be required.
• Comply with all regulations as required by law and perform other duties as assigned.

• At least six months of customer service experience (industry experience preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficient computer operating skills and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to identify lending opportunities and make recommendations.
• Ability to cross‑sell financial services of the credit union.
• Ability to perform financial calculations.
• Communication skills: effective written and verbal communication, persuasiveness, and clarity.

• Physical demands: ability to talk, hear, sit, use hands to handle or feel and reach; stand, walk, kneel, and crouch occasionally.
• Vision: close vision (clear at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear at 20 feet or more).
• Weight: ability to lift up to 10pounds consistently and up to 50pounds occasionally.
• Environment: moderate noise in a business office setting with computers and printers, light traffic.
