The AFCS is looking for a Full‑Time Inventory Management Specialist, NH-2010-02 to work at Air Force Sustainment Center on Hill AFB in Layton, Utah.
Salary: $40,736–$97,087 yearly (includes locality pay). Job Open Date: 13 Feb 26. Job Close Date: 20 Feb 26. This position may close at any time.
Requirements: open exclusively to current 448 Supply Chain Management Wing (SCMW) employees at Hill AFB only. Applicants must submit their most recent SF-50.
Responsibilities & DutiesThe primary purpose of this position is to serve as a planner responsible for cradle‑to‑grave supply chain management and support to worldwide customers for an assigned complex/critical group of contract, inter‑service, organic and dual repaired items and sub‑components. Key duties include:
- Planning, executing and distributing assigned items.
- Managing items and preparing data for accurate planning of budgetary estimates.
- Ensuring logistics workforce management operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Participating in special logistics workforce projects and initiatives.
- Identifying the need for special projects, initiating milestones and goals.
- Representing the organization with installation and functional area organizations.
- Establishing, developing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Obtain and maintain a Security clearance (if applicable).
- No PCS expenses will be paid.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station (~5 days per year).
- May be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours.
- Resume limited to two pages; font size not smaller than 10 pts. Resume must be legible.
- Extensive knowledge of analytical and evaluative techniques for efficiency and effectiveness in program and strategic sourcing.
- Master knowledge of overall missions, functions and organization of the agency or component, and ability to evaluate current strategies.
- Extensive knowledge of organizational concepts, principles and practices related to performance‑based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing and other support areas.
- Ability to lead and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems related to organizational issues; understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.
- Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures and policies, and developing methods and operating procedures as required.
