Radiologic Technologist / CT Tech, Medical Technologist & Lab Technician
Job Summary
The CT Technologist is responsible for patient safety and the performance of high quality CT studies. They ensure effective communication with customers, including radiologists, and may train new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.
Responsibilities- Ensure patient safety, including pre‑screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections.
- Perform aseptic injection techniques.
- Produce high‑quality diagnostic images.
- Communicate effectively with customers and/or radiologists.
- Train new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.
- Troubleshoot the scanner, coach, and all peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, etc.).
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience;
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. - Registered Computed Tomography Technologist by the ARRT (or certification by the NMTCB acceptable in lieu of ARRT registry).
- State license, and if applicable, license in Medical Imaging.
- CPR certification.
- Active State Driver’s License (for mid‑day moves).
- Strong customer service, organizational, and multi‑tasking skills.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
- May be exposed to outside weather conditions during transport of patients if working on a mobile unit.
- May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
- More than 50% of the time: sit, stand, walk; repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs; see, speak and hear to communicate with patients.
- Less than 50% of the time: stoop, kneel or crawl; climb and balance; carry and lift non‑ambulatory patients.
