About the RoleAs a Personal Care Attendant / Caregiver at Bee Hive Homes of Layton, you're the heart of daily operations. You're the person residents see most, the one who helps them start their morning, feel comfortable through the day, and wind down 's hands-on, relationship-driven work - and it matters.
You'll work closely with the House Manager and Administrator to keep things running smoothly, maintain our quality of care, and make sure residents and their families feel like they're in good hands. That means staying organized, communicating well, and being someone people can count on - even when the day gets busy.
What You'll Do- Help residents with everyday activities that make a real difference: getting dressed, bathing, meals, grooming, moving around safely, and settling in for the night.
- Keep resident areas clean, handle laundry, check in on residents regularly, assist with medication tracking, and help with light meal preparation.
- Communicate clearly by keeping accurate records, passing along important information to staff, and being a friendly, reassuring presence for residents and their families.
- Shift duties vary: day shift focuses on morning routines and activities, afternoon shift covers dinner and bedtime prep, and night shift handles overnight checks and sets things up for the morning crew.
- Someone who genuinely cares about afflicted and/or elderly people; the heart for this work matters most and can be learned.
- Stays calm under pressure, communicates clearly, makes good decisions on their feet, and takes pride in keeping a clean and welcoming home for residents.
- Works well with residents, their families, and a close-knit team; professional in how you carry yourself.
This is an active job. You will be on your feet, move between rooms, help residents walk or transfer safely, bend, reach, and lift regularly. You should be comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs on a regular basis and up to 50 lbs occasionally. You will need good hand-eye coordination, normal hearing and vision, and the stamina to stay focused across a full shift.
It is rewarding work and does require a physical effort.
