Pharmacy Lead Position DescriptionThe Pharmacy Working Lead job consists of leading the Pharmacy department’s weighing and blending operations to ensure the completion of tasks with high accuracy
* and efficiency, and also of working alongside with the operators as needed.
* Referring to Quality, Safety, Standards, and Policies.
Responsibilities- Make sure all personnel, full‑time or temporary, has the training necessary before working in the area.
- Make sure employees follow quality, safety, and other work standards and policies, with the empowerment to initiate and implement disciplinary action when necessary.
- Assign work to weighing room teams as scheduled and per priority, making sure to take advantage of back‑to‑back opportunities and that team members weigh ingredients to exact requirements and directions.

- Interface with other departments for the efficient flow of work in process (WIP).
- Make decisions regarding employee’s requests for time off taking into consideration the company’s needs for production.
- Coordinate on time availability of supplies such as:
- Clean barrels and lids
- Plastic bags
- Gloves
- Tags
- Towels
- PPE
- Others
- Make sure all work orders are completed with process information and reports and that each barrel is labeled with required information. Make sure that work order pallets are identified with a cone on which the following is written:
Work Order number, Name of product and Number of barrels. - Make sure all reports and paperwork are filled with required information and signed by all needing to sign.
- Make sure that information is entered in the log books.
- Periodically update the schedules posted in the Operations office all during the day every day.
- Update the computer reports daily.
- Attend the weekly production "Frozen Meeting".
- Check finished product against Work Order to make sure everything is correct and report any errors to the manager even if they are errors you made. It is better making sure everything is in order than passing defects to the customer.
- Must contribute to department team incentive goals. Team incentive goals and rewards are based on productivity, in both quantity and quality of work and the accuracy to which the job and/or processes are completed.
- Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to write, read and comprehend instructions in English, correspondence, and memos. Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Basic computer skills to input data into the database and to understand production applications developed by the company.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- English proficiency a must, both in verbal and written form.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and converse and listen.
- The employee must exert up to 90 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 40 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity, far acuity, accommodation, color vision, and field of vision.
