Responsibilities
- Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, including AIDS education and confidential self‑exclusion.
- Conduct medical history interviews, acceptability screening, physical examinations, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis (SPE) results.
- Evaluate donor reactions, follow SOPs for medical emergencies, and coordinate transport to emergency care as needed.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings and technical medical issues related to donor safety and eligibility.
- Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents, evaluate need for further assessment by occupational health/ER, and follow EHS guidance for incidents.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and help investigate pandemic threats within the local community per EHS or Medical Affairs guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or a recognized nursing educational program meeting state requirements.
- Current RN, NP, or PA license in the state of assignment.
- Certified in CPR and AED.
- Fulfilled state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Completed FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- At least two years of clinical or hospital experience.
USA – UT – Layton, U.S. hourly wage range: $33.44 – $45.98.
