Job Description
Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supporting plasma center operations. Reports to the Center Manager, receives clinical guidance from the Center Physician, and manages donor eligibility, adverse events, and laboratory review. Provides center‑level support for environmental, health and safety (EHS) and follows directives from Bio Life Medical Affairs.
Key Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
- Manage donor adverse events, evaluate reactions, and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including communicating with the Center Physician and arranging transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer unacceptable findings to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs and provide guidance on medical or technical issues concerning donor safety and eligibility.
- Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER, following EHS guidance.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized, supporting investigations of pandemic threats within the local community.
- High school diploma or recognized nursing program equivalent.
- Current state license:
Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA). - Current CPR and AED certification.
- State‑required basic IV therapy certification.
- Completed FDA approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Minimum two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $33.44 – $45.98
Job Type: Employee – Full time – Regular – Non‑exempt
