Quality Assurance Technician

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Ensure product specifications are met and that company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Conduct production equipment and room clearing.
  • Manage packaging line clearing.
  • Authorize rework as necessary.
  • Perform cleaning verifications.
  • Review in-process documentation.
  • Conduct yield investigations and product sampling.
  • Ensure the production of products meets the company's stringent quality standards from start to finish.
  • Liaise with production and customer service departments to ensure that projects are initiated, executed, and completed according to federal regulations.
  • Conduct point step process reviews and materials reviews.
  • Verify labels against work orders to ensure product accuracy.
  • Manage line clearing and documentation control.
  • Ensure all employees adhere to cGMP requirements within the facility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures.
Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Competencies/Skill

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of GMPs and experience with nutraceuticals.
  • Exceptional written and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and directions.
  • Capability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and efficiently complete assigned tasks.
  • Decision-making skills based on company guidelines.
  • Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic environment and effectiveness during major changes in responsibilities.
  • Integrity and personal responsibility for performance.
  • Knowledge of Dietary Supplement GMPs.
  • Experience in the dietary supplement industry.
  • Auditing experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience enforcing SOPs and product specifications.
  • Proficiency in all MS Office Suite programs;
    Excel experience required.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • English proficiency required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; converse, listen, taste, or smell.
  • Must exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • May be exposed to a dusty environment and/or considerable noise.
