Position SummaryOur members love shopping for fresh food at Sam’s Club because of our hard‑working and happy‑to‑help fresh food associates. As a freezer, cooler and deli associate, you will keep shelves stocked and ensure the sanitary conditions of freezers and coolers that keep our products ready for members. In the deli department you’ll provide front‑line customer service, making a difference between a good and great shopping experience.
Whatyou'll do
Maintain safety of the facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling hazardous materials safely, following steel standard guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations.
Maintain the sales floor and merchandise presentation in the freezer, cooler and deli area in accordance with company policies by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, receiving and stocking merchandise, setting up and cleaning product displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise, completing required audits and paperwork, and securing fragile and high‑shrink merchandise.
Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, locating merchandise, assisting with purchasing decisions, providing deli products, resolving issues, and promoting company products and services.
Follow food‑handling policies, operate, repair and sanitize equipment, follow cold‑chain procedures when stocking merchandise, clean the freezer, cooler and deli area, monitor equipment for proper operation, and report issues to management.
Responsibilities- Ensure high‑quality products are taken care of and available for members.
- Keep shelves clean, maintain temperature control, verify expiration dates, and dispose of lesser‑quality food products.
- Pack ready‑to‑sell products in proper containers and stock displays.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, member‑ready area.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to complete all required job training and assessments within a prescribed time period.

* The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
