ResponsibilitiesAs an Outside Sales Rep, you’ll be responsible for understanding Orkin’s products and services and how to sell them to a variety of industries. You’ll make strategic recommendations to new and existing customers to help prevent pests, uphold quality and safety, and satisfy regulatory standards. You’ll solve problems and build trusted relationships as an essential partner protecting their business. You’ll listen to needs and clearly explain practical solutions to win over customers with confidence and care.
- Prioritize safety in all responsibilities
- Conduct yourself with the utmost professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers
- Serve as an empathetic problem solver for commercial customers by utilizing in-depth training to recommend the best overall solution for each customer’s needs
- Achieve sales goals through prospecting new business and assigned leads
- Utilize marketing tools to drive new business development
- Conduct an interior and exterior inspection of the customer’s property
- Make recommendations based on inspections, address questions, explain the solution, and set expectations for the pest program
- Use the provided iPad to prepare sales agreements and stay organized (training provided)
- Estimated first-year earnings $60,000 – $100,000 USD annually
- Base pay plus uncapped commission

Minimum Requirements:
- No experience required; sales experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license/certification if required (company paid)
- Ability to work in the field independently and interact with customers inside their businesses and/or homes
Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform duties with or without accommodations:
- Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer’s weight capacity
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc., including climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Wear PPE which may include an OSHA-compliant respirator
- Willing to work in different weather conditions
