Overview

Position:
Pool and Spa Technician

As a Pool and Spa Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of pools and hot tubs to ensure they are safe, and functional. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks on pools and hot tubs, including cleaning, water testing, chemical balancing, and equipment checks.
  • Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues affecting pools and hot tubs, such as leaks, pump malfunctions, heater problems, and filtration issues.
  • Equipment Installation: Install and configure new pool and hot tub equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, and automated control systems, ensuring proper operation and safety compliance.
  • Water Treatment: Administer appropriate chemical treatments to maintain water quality and sanitation levels within established health and safety standards, including adjusting pH levels, chlorine, and alkalinity.
  • Customer Service: Interact with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide guidance on pool and hot tub maintenance, usage, and safety practices.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and customer interactions. Generate reports as needed for documentation and billing purposes.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to relevant regulations and industry standards for pool and hot tub maintenance, safety, and sanitation. Ensure that all work is conducted in a safe manner, using appropriate personal protective equipment and following proper procedures.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on advancements in pool and hot tub technology, equipment, and maintenance practices through training, workshops, and professional development opportunities.
  • Qualifications
    • Proven experience in pool and hot tub maintenance, repair, and water treatment. Although, we are willing to train the right candidate.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and pool equipment operation.
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
    • Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety protocols accurately.
    • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
    • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and working in various weather conditions.
    • Valid driver s license and clean driving record may be required for travel to client locations.
