The Landscape Department is responsible for all WSU Davis landscaping. Experience with weeding, mulching, planting, pruning, trash removal, and related duties is necessary to be a successful member of the Landscape Department.
Required Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with weeding, mulching, planting, pruning, and trash removal.
- Basic computer skills.
- Weeding, mulching, planting, and pruning of campus grounds.
- Removal of trash and maintenance of landscaping areas.
- Assist with other landscaping tasks as assigned.
Work involves ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and other structures; walking, standing, and crouching on narrow or slippery surfaces; bending, lifting, and operating equipment; and maintaining equilibrium to prevent falls. Agility and balance are frequently required.
Physical Requirements- Heavy work: up to 100 lbs of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs frequently, and up to 20 lbs constantly to move objects.
- Visual acuity for operating machines and performing skilled trades.
- Exposure to weather conditions, noise, vibration, hazards, and atmospheric conditions such as fumes or dust.
