Construction and Property Maintenance Specialist​/Handyman

This is a full-time, salaried position for a well-rounded construction professional who can independently handle a variety of projects, repairs, punch-list items, and property maintenance needs.

We are looking for someone who doesn't need to be told every step of how to complete a project. The ideal candidate can assess an issue, determine the best solution, identify the materials and tools needed, and see the project through to completion.

• Complete commercial construction punch-list and warranty items
• Perform repairs and improvements at company-owned and managed properties
• Handle small construction, renovation, and remodeling projects
• Perform framing, carpentry, drywall, patching, texture, and finish work
• Install and repair doors, trim, cabinets, shelving, hardware, and fixtures
• Complete painting, caulking, and miscellaneous finish work
• Perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs when appropriate and permitted
• Troubleshoot building and construction-related issues
• Install miscellaneous fixtures, signage, accessories, and equipment
• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with construction-related needs
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors when specialized work is required
• Purchase, pick up, and deliver materials as necessary
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and assigned vehicle
• Perform preventative property and building maintenance
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to VDC's quality standards
• Respond to miscellaneous construction and property needs as they arise
