Davis Fitness Attendants are responsible for providing for the safety of patrons at the Fitness Center in the Davis Stewart Center. This includes, but is not limited to: ensuring access to the facility only to verified Wildcard holders, answering questions, maintaining a clean workspace and facility, providing for the safety of all facility users, selling memberships, checking out fitness and recreation equipment, and providing excellent customer service.

This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.

Required Qualifications

Current student of Weber State University

Current American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers with First Aid (must be obtained within 60 days of hire)

Demonstrated customer service and problem solving skills

Able to lift 25lbs

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a recreational environment

Availability for early morning, evening and weekends

Able to lift up to 50lbs

Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision. Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures;

transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading. The conditions the worker will be subject to in this position. None. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
