Overview

Utah Rail Runners is seeking an experienced, highly organized Intermodal Trucking Dispatcher (In-Office) based in Layton, UT. This is a full-time, in-office position that requires exceptional multitasking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
This is not a remote position. Candidates must work from our office each day.

• Dispatch and coordinate a high volume of intermodal container movements.
• Schedule and communicate with drivers to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
• Monitor driver progress and proactively resolve delays or service issues.
• Coordinate with rail terminals, ports, steamship lines, customers, and warehouse personnel.
• Enter and update dispatch information accurately in the transportation management system (TMS).

• Previous experience as an intermodal dispatcher or in trucking dispatch preferred.
• Strong understanding of intermodal transportation, ports, rail operations, and container logistics.
• Ability to manage a high volume of freight while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, and email.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
