Assets Accountant

Responsibilities

Kforce's client, located in Le Mars, Iowa, is seeking a Fixed Assets Accountant to manage and maintain the accuracy of fixed asset records, reporting, and compliance. This role offers strong visibility to leadership and the opportunity to support financial planning, audits, and process improvements. The position is hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote. Our client offers salary and benefits package.

• Maintain fixed asset register including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation
• Calculate and post monthly depreciation in compliance with accounting standards
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
• Prepare reports for management and auditors
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS a plus), tax regulations, and internal policies
• Assist with audits and provide required documentation
• Conduct physical asset verifications and update records accordingly
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3-7+ years of experience in accounting or fixed assets
• IFRS experience a big plus, not required
• Strong understanding of depreciation and asset accounting principles
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
