Job Responsibilities
Responsible for day‑to‑day Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS) activities for the facility, communicating expectations, building relationships with facility personnel, establishing accountability, and delivering EHS results through the EHS Management System.
- Drive accountability and ownership of EHS MS results for the assigned facility.
- Coach and help direct facility leadership toward greater EHS performance.
- Align and execute direction based upon business priority and strategy.
- Advocate for change and support continuous improvement for EHS processes and programs.
- Communicate program and policy recommendations verbally and in writing to a broad spectrum of audiences.
- Recognize, prioritize, and manage EHS risks to establish a low‑or‑no risk work environment.
- Respond to emergencies involving hazardous material releases, facility destruction, inclement weather, and property damage; prepare reports of findings, submit recommendations, and investigate accidents to determine root cause, following corrective actions through completion.
- Own responsibilities for PSM, RMP, multisite locations, M&A, wastewater, and environmental matters.
- Must be able to work a 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm evening shift schedule.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health and Safety, Business, Industrial Technology, Industrial Hygiene or a related discipline, or equivalent education and work experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in an environmental, health and safety related field.
- Experience in implementing the EHS Management System.
- Strong oral, written and presentation skills, interpersonal abilities, and effective organizational skills.
- Successful coach and mentor to indirect facility personnel.
- Develop EHS Program Champions.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a diverse workforce, exercise initiative and judgment in interpreting policies, delegating responsibilities, and evaluating EHS activities.
- Reports to Sr. Manager EHS Operations.

None. - Indirect Reports:
Facility Personnel.
In addition to the responsibilities listed above, other duties may be assigned by your supervisor as dictated by business necessity.
