JOB SUMMARY
Our DFA/Kemps Dairy has an immediate job opening for a Materials Expeditor to compile and maintain inventory and status information to expedite movement of materials according to schedule and priorities.
JOB DUTIES- Read schedules and inventory reports to determine type and quantity required, availability of stock, and order priority
- Repack products based on order requirements
- Proactively interact and communicate inter and intra-departmentally to ensure consistent and efficient work flow
- Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's
- Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes
- Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
- Vacation Relief - provide relief when needed for various schedules
- Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all State and Federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
- Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

- $27.40 per hour
Mon.
- Fri. 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM - Schedule may vary according to scheduling relief needs

- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimal
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
- Able to effectively work in a team environment
- Able to legibly write entries for record keeping
- Able to use company computer systems
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Able to follow directions
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must have a valid driver's license. Must have a clean driving record.
- Must be able to drive a box truck
