The Associate Manager, Community Development and Events supports the company in its efforts to build local reputation through strategic community and business initiatives. Leads guest experience tours and new employee onboarding to deliver the best experiences and engagement in learning about Wells and our story. Partners with corporate communications leadership and key stakeholders to ensure executional excellence in all aspects of Wells representation in our local communities.
Leads local product donation execution, and supports other community engagement efforts as necessary.
- Primary lead to support new hire orientation, on-boarding, and visitor tours through the Wells Visitor Center and Ice Cream Parlor. Develops strong knowledge and expertise of Wells history and facts to engage employees and community members in telling our story.
- Supports Sr. Manager, Community and Visitor Engagement, in developing and providing best-in-class visitor experiences at the WVC & ICP – including menu creation, interactive displays, customer service, merchandise strategy, and other initiatives to support the strategic execution of the Visitor Center.
- Supports team with executional leadership for local community activation initiatives and community events. Ensures seamless planning and coordination of initiatives, communicating and coordinating all aspects of event execution from pre-planning to activation to post-event wrap-up.
- Supports the broader Corporate Communications team as necessary on key strategic internal and/or external corporate events. Serves as project manager on key initiatives, developing and managing timelines, reports and tracks progress, leads follow-up, and ensures timely and effective initiative execution.
- Leads the planning and execution of local product donations in Wells key operating markets. Determines request approvals, partners cross-functionally to ensure execution, leads local planning, and sees through to project completion. Manages and provides reporting on overall execution, community experience, and budgets.
- Supports Sr. Manager in communications planning and effectiveness. Ensures key organizational stakeholders are aware of programming, provides content for local communication, and enables the organization via communications to amplify the impact of our initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in community marketing, brand events, or experiential marketing, preferably within a CPG or consumer brand environment.
- Strong understanding of community marketing, experiential/event marketing, and brand engagement strategies within a CPG environment, including social platforms and consumer trends.
- Excellent project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to plan and execute multiple events and campaigns simultaneously.
- Ability to build and nurture community partnerships, analyze engagement performance, and adapt programs creatively to drive brand loyalty and consumer participation.
