Maintenance Instrumentation​/Electrician Technician LuMel LLC

About the Role:
An established ethanol production facility near Le Mars is seeking a Maintenance Instrumentation & Electrical (I/E) Technician to support plant reliability, safety, and efficiency. This is a hands-on role working on industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, controls, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot plant electrical systems (including 120/240/480V)
• Calibrate and repair instruments, analyzers, and process control equipment
• Interpret schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams to perform work safely and accurately
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to minimize downtime
• Perform preventive maintenance and support root cause analysis
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and plant safety standards

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of industrial I/E maintenance experience (ethanol, chemical, or manufacturing preferred)
• Working knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and industrial controls
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, heights, and hot/cold environments
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Preferred but Not Required:

• Journeyman electrician license in Iowa or ability to obtain
• Experience with Allen-Bradley systems and Delta
  
  V or similar DCS platforms
• Technical diploma or associate degree in industrial maintenance or related field
