Job Position: CDL Driver

Le Mars, IA 51031

Pay Rate: DOE

Shift: M-F 6am to 3pm

Description:

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate tractor trailer vehicles in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies
Transport waste and recyclable materials to designated disposal and processing facilities
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete all required paperwork
Secure loads properly and ensure safe transport of materials
Maintain accurate route, mileage, and delivery records
Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and facility personnel
Report mechanical issues, accidents, or safety concerns immediately
Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of assigned equipment
Operate vehicles safely in all weather and road conditions
Follow assigned schedules while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service

Qualifications

Valid CDL Class A license required
Air brake endorsement required
Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
Minimum of 1-2 years of tractor trailer driving experience preferred
Waste industry experience preferred but not required
Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail
Strong communication and time management skills

Physical Requirements

Ability to climb in and out of tractor trailer equipment frequently
Ability to perform moderate physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds as needed
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to sit and drive for extended periods of time
